Senior Counsel, Policy & Social Impact

A dot connector and strategist, Tanya Malik is the Senior Counsel for Policy and Social Impact at Noema Global. She leads strategic advisory across AI policy and social innovation. Her policy work spans AI trend analysis, corporate AI strategy, AI literacy, and regulatory compliance, guiding clients in navigating an evolving AI policy landscape. On the social impact side, she architects end-to-end corporate social responsibility and philanthropic strategies focused on impactful programming and partnerships, with expertise in creative economy development, education and upskilling, and empowerment of underrepresented communities.

She has a specialized focus on guiding strategic investments and partnerships aligned with corporate values, and localizing global best practices, having worked across the Middle East, Africa, EU, and Asia. At Netflix, she managed the Fund for Creative Equity across non-US markets, where she led the design and implementation of strategic programs to address creative skills gaps, build sustainable workforce pipelines, and strengthen local audiovisual industries through structured training, workshops, and partnerships.

Prior to Netflix, Tanya spent five years at Apple, within the supply chain sustainability and human rights division, where she launched a global stakeholder engagement program and led strategic program development to address labor rights, sustainability, and global health challenges. She also managed communications campaigns and public reporting to advance transparency and accountability.

Born and raised in California, she has a Bachelor’s in Economics with a minor in Middle Eastern Studies from University of California, Berkeley, and a Master’s in Global Affairs with a focus on International Development and Renewable Energy Policy from New York University. Her graduate thesis was on the development of the renewable energy industry in the United Arab Emirates.
