Tanya Malik

A dot connector and strategist, Tanya Malik oversees the firm’s global affairs portfolio across policy and stakeholder engagement, external affairs, and social impact strategy.

Her remit includes policy landscape analysis, ethical AI governance, regulatory compliance, and intellectual property protection, advising clients on how to navigate complex regulatory environments and build effective relationships with policymakers and influential stakeholders. She also directs the firm’s communications and external positioning through editorial leadership, strategic convenings, and public-facing initiatives.

On the social impact side, she architects end-to-end CSR and philanthropic strategies centered on values-driven partnerships and measurable impact, with particular expertise in creative economy development, education and upskilling, and the empowerment of underrepresented communities.

She has a specialized focus on guiding strategic investments and partnerships aligned with corporate values, and localizing global best practices, having worked across the Middle East, Africa, EU, and Asia. At Netflix, she managed the Fund for Creative Equity across non-US markets, where she led the design and implementation of strategic programs to address creative skills gaps, build sustainable workforce pipelines, and strengthen local audiovisual industries through structured training, workshops, and partnerships.

Prior to Netflix, Tanya spent five years at Apple, within the supply chain sustainability and human rights division, where she launched a global stakeholder engagement program and led strategic program development to address labor rights, sustainability, and global health challenges. She also managed communications campaigns and public reporting to advance transparency and accountability.

Born and raised in California, she has a Bachelor’s in Economics with a minor in Middle Eastern Studies from University of California, Berkeley, and a Master’s in Global Affairs with a focus on International Development and Renewable Energy Policy from New York University. Her graduate thesis was on the development of the renewable energy industry in the United Arab Emirates.
