As a specialist in cross-border structuring, he has a strong track record in anticipating legislative changes and managing tax risks to protect and grow client interests.

A core strength lies in managing relationships with tax authorities. Drawing on his deep understanding of both the letter of the law and its practical application, Lucas has successfully led sensitive negotiations and resolved complex disputes across jurisdictions.

Lucas's public sector career includes key roles at the Dutch Ministry of Finance, where he represented the Netherlands at the OECD, led numerous Mutual Agreement Procedures (MAPs), and handled high-stakes international tax cases. He also served in the Dutch Tax Administration’s international unit, gaining invaluable insights that inform his client strategies.

As an external advisor, Lucas supports entrepreneurs, investors, and family offices in optimizing their personal and corporate tax positions through innovative structures. This includes setting up investment funds and family offices in strategic jurisdictions like the UAE, ensuring compliance and maximizing efficiency.
